I have a mde database that I need to upgrade to SQL Server using the
unsizing wizard within Access. But the wizard wont allow upsizing an
mde. I thought of opening a new empty mdb and copying all the tables
and data across from the mde to the mdb and then upsizing the mdb .
Will this work? And if so are there any issues to be aware of?

Thanks

Hopefully you still have the original .mdb file! Import your most current
tables into it and then upsize! That should do it, I think! Remember to copy
your original .mdb before doing this!

Thanks for that - yes I still have it, but of course it has tables
(empty obviously) with the same names as those in the mde - I guess I
should delete the tables in the mdb then import the ones with data in
them from the mbe?

That's the simplest way!
