You only need MDAC if you are using ADO. On Jet databases DAO is faster. ADO
is slightly faster on MSDE and SQL-Server.

I am using Access as database for my app. Is it wise to install also MDAC
2.8 when installing app?
I know there was a problem with MDAC 2.8 on Windows XP. Is that bug
corrected?
I am newbie to this, so if someone can help me to clarify this.
