mcrtl32.dll problems

I have a windows XP system that everytime I run a program it is giving
me a error about mcrtl32.dll missing.
I'm sure there is some crap wear in it. However I can't find any ref
to that file in the registery. I tried removing all the mcafee entries
and stuff.

but still if I go to cmd and type ping 127.0.0.1 it will give me that
error and still ping.


any idea what else it could be?

mcrtl32.dll appears to be related to McAfee (McCrappy).

Just to let everyone know that may encounter this problem themselves,
the problem was resolved buy digging through repairing tcp/ip
Found a neat little tool on the net to fix this called winsockfix.exe
after running everything started working great.


Shows what can happen when users don't properly uninstall a program.
