I have VS 8.0. On a scheduled scan there is NO WAY to choose drives to scan.
I have a NAS drive with 4 public and 2 private drives, 2 hard drives and 3
mapped drives on my main PC at my house. It scans all of them! The mapped
drives are on a computer that also gets scanned. This is stupid! I'm
surprised MacAfee doesn't have this option, or when this has come up (and it
has come up, believe me) that they haven't addressed it.. Time to look at
other alternatives I guess. My script runs out next month anyway.

Does VS use its own scheduler or does it put an event into the Windows
Task Scheduler? If it adds an event to Task Scheduler, you can edit the
command that it runs. Perhaps it takes command-line arguments, like "C:
D:", to let you specify what drive designators get used to scan drives.

If the article at
http://www.mcafeeasap.com/intl/EN/content/virusscan_asap/faq/schedule_scan.asp
is really for your version of VirusScan, then it appears the interface
is an HTML page where you run a renderer program and specify the URL
that it loads and renders and which takes input variables to specify the
drives to scan. It really looks to be a crappy means of specifying how
to run a scheduled scan.
