Stay away from both.

for a firewall use sygate, anti virus use avg or avast and for spam control
download mozilla thunderbird which has junk filters (moves all your spam to
the trash can)

all these products are free.

if you really feel the need to purchase a program then I would buy trend
pc-cillin which covers all your virus/spam/spyware needs and yes it has a
built in firewall but it is not very good so use sygate (free) for your
firewall needs.
