McAfee Security delay the network connection during boot-up?

During system boot-up, i need to wait about 3 minutes till McAfee Security
window pop up and ready (i guess it is the time of start-up scan), before im
able to gain access to internet with my ADSL router modem.

Is there anyway to bypass this without defeating the security level?

Have a look at their support pages.
Check what startup options you have in their Program.

If you want to retain full protection then you have to wait for the AV to
load, but if you set its options to scan on startup there will be a delay

Ic...but i feel that vista takes longer time than XP...
