Norman Anti-Virus and Firewall. If they are good enough for Microsoft
they are good enough for me.

Both have their advantages and disadvantages.
To cut a long story short, I felt Norton is a bit bloated, however they've
got a fairly good support base and the Norton has the advantage of scanning
incoming e-mails. This may be a two edged sword but it's better to have the
ability then be without it.
McAfee is a bit lighter but it's hell if you're on a modem connection (I'm
talking McAfee On Line here).
So I guess, I'm going for Norton here.
I'm basing this on the fact that I'm still on Win98SE (yes I know).
