McAfee Antivirus

Hi. I need to make some research about McAfee antivirus and to write an
essey about it, not commercial, but realistic with good and bad sides of
that
antivirus software. I search the net and I'm finding just commercials,
prices etc... I can't find some materials that are not here to sell the
product...
Anyone maybe knows where could I find some more materials I need?

There are two families. The retail and the corporate/enterprise. They are different from
each other.

On the good side, it does what it is supposed to do. On the bad side, it
is supposed to do 'too many things' which add bloat to the program. Same
can be said for most of the other offerings out there.
 
For the negative side:
Search Google Groups.
Use the search term "mcafee antivirus".
Limit your search to your language preference.
Search only the last cuppla years.
That should yield about fifty thousand hits for your perusal.

For the positive side:
Uhm, well, er ...
Like another poster said, it does what it says it'll do.
Almost all the time ... most of the time ... some of the time?
At any rate, when its working it works quite well.
As you'll learn from Google Groups, it is quite resource intensive.
Maybe not as much as Norton, but it ranks right up there with it.

and you'll see that McAfee ranks right right up there with the best
(Kaspersky) in terms of doing what AV software is supposed to do.
