I haven't been able to do a complete virus scan with McAfee in several months. It always stalls on an incredimail file and won't finish. Any ideas? Also, my McAfee automatically gets disabled every morning at 8:00 exactly. It won't start again unless I manually enable it...
I'm definitely frustrated and would appreciate any ideas. Thanks a bunch!

I do not care how good McAfee may have become, in my humble opinion it will always be a virus in it's own right. ;)

There are several good alternatives to both those bombastic programs ...

Try any of the on-line scanners just to double check you have no nasties.

I can hghly recommend Anti-Vir (free) or KAV or NOD32 (trial & pay) as an alternative to McAfee ...

As for incredimail ...[font=arial,sans] It provides amusing, all-singing, all dancing, animated, colored, formatted, flashing, bleeping, blurping emails ... but with the certainty of tons of excess baggage riding along with the email; with the possibility of opening the door to malicious HTML-borne worms, viruses, and such; and with serious questions about who owns the content of the messages you send using their system.

Do yourself a favour, use OE, or if you want to be more secure, use Mozilla Tunderbird.

Do you run any Anti-Spyware software?

ok, ok

I guess it's time to change. I have always also used AVG. Will look at the ones you recommend. No spyware. Will also try Mozilla. And, I did try an online scanner with no problems showing. anyhow, thanks for your push in the right direction...I'm tired of fighting these issues with McAfee...
