McAfee - Anti-Spyware?

I have a friend who just bought the "whole" McAfee anti-virus, etc., and he
seems to think that it includes anti-spyware. Does anyone know if that is
correct? I'm thinking it does NOT include anti-spyware, and that he needs
to get another anti-spyware.
 
Maybe your friend was talking about the 2005 Internet Security Suite by
McAfee. It includes VirusScan, Personal Firewall Plus, Privacy Service and
Spamkiller. McAfee AntiSpyware is available for $9.99 thru April 3 but it
is not a part of the suite. I don't know how good it is. McAfee VirusScan
does check for some malware, spyware, etc. but not to the extent that the
anti-spyware programs do. The best practice is still to use several
antispyware programs because no one program catches everthing.
