McAfee 8.5 and Windows Mail

McAfee says its version 8.5 is compatible with Windows Mail. Is there any
evidence to the contrary? I'd like to know before I install it.

The experts here don't trust McAfee or Norton products to
be compatible with Windows Mail.

I would not chance it. We've seen too many McAfee horror stories here.
If you want to be safe, download and install a more compatible
antivirus like the free Avast:

Even compatible antivirus programs will need to have their

Ask the question on http://community.mcafee.com - if you mean VirusScan 8.5i
then ask the question in "Desktop & Server" which you will find in the
Corporate Section at the bottom of the forum.
The current home and home office products are all Vista compatible 32-bit
and shortly will be 64-bit also.
