What exactly can I do/download to get this program loaded? I have to load it
in order to have access to my intranet.

Question for you:

Do you desire a conflict free computer, or, do you desire perpetual
conflicts while using Vista and browsing the Internet? If you desire OS
conflicts, add that third party program.

Vista end users that *never* add third party programs rarely ever visit
theses Forums unless their only purpose is for sharing the joy and user
friendly functionalities while using Vista.

As end users add third party programs to Vista, progressively, (user
induced) troubles and conflicts develop while using Vista. While browsing
these Forums, almost without exception, the majority of complaints are from
users that have added third party programs.

Visit the below URL for discovering the best methods for using Vista.

The program is work related, not for the joy of adding third party s/w. If
we lived in a bubble, we would never know the real world. If we bought
cookie cutter equipment, we would never advance in our technology development.

I believe you need to install McAfee 8.5 to be Vista compatible. We use 8.0i
at our university, and tech support told me that it could cause problems,
especially with 64-bit Vista Ultimate (which is my OS).

I said the heck with a free ride and instead bought AVG 7.5 Anti-Malware.

Fully agree with your assessment; “If we lived in a bubble, we would never
know the real world. If we bought cookie cutter equipment, we would never
advance in our technology development.â€

Windows Vista is our world’s most advanced state-of-the-art technology
development never before experienced by the computing industry, it is
impossible for learning the true definition for advanced technology
development if one corrupts state-of-the-art technology by adding historic
“cookie cutter†equipment.

Considering your objective is work related, have no idea for your desired
outcome.

Wishfully, a day will arrive that you can enjoy the factual user friendly
functionality benefits from using advanced state-of-the-art technology that
Windows Vista solo provides. Until Windows Vista arrived, more specifically
Vista RTM, unfortunately, it was necessary for using historic cookie cutter
equipment.

Since we humans are creatures of habit, sometimes those old habits never
conclude while often refusing learning new technology.

Respectfully,

First piece of good advice in in this thread. 8.5 is the first Vista
compatible McAfee version. 8.0i does not work. It blue screens Vista.

The Enterprise version of McAfee is 64-bit compatible. The home-user
versions are apparently not, and McAfee technical support are apparently
adamant that none of their software works on 64-bit so if that is what you
need, I'd suggest you go elsewhere.

Not a bad idea. If the requirement is simply to have AV you can do better
than McAfee.

Thank you for your view. It would be nice to see an internet server setup to
allow connection of any version of any program and allow people the
compatible connection without illegal use. I'm sure that wouldn't fly with
sw co's.
Technology is now stacking molecules, which allows the consumer to get more
products in a more portable form than ever before, not just pc's. Anyway,
thanks for the chat.
Best regards...

Shut up, moron.
