Andy

I have just installed linux mandrake on a separate partition to win2k. I
have several physical drives. My largest drive D: is 120Gb and contained
80Gb worth of video data for my work. Now i have installed mandrake -
nothing is showing up on this drive. I think Mandrake has overwritten my
mbr.

Is there a recovery procedure i can use for the mbr ??? I urgently need the
video data back .

i made a very recent win2k emergency recovery disk.

thanks

AL

My 2003 pro disc wont boot. Ive set my bios primary boot to cdrom, but
still nothing.

Which option shall i take ?
1) Boot with win2k emergency recovery floppy disc then hope it asks me to
insert cdrom,

2) Boot with the win2k 4 floppy disc start up.

3) Load my win98, which i installed on another partition and put my win2k
disc in there.

Ive run win2k recently and downloaded PC Inspector
(http://www.pcinspector.de/file_recovery/UK/welcome.htm) free edition. It
says my D drive is very corrupt. !! but it recognises there is data there.
Im hoping it is just the mbr.

thanks

AL

I'll assume you meant 2000 disc.

Try the ERD - not guarantees

i have 3 physical hard drives with several partitions on each. Will it mess
