When I got my new computer, to run correctly it required that I install
sound and MB drivers for things to work right.
What happens with Vista now? Will those MB drivers continue to work??

Check with your mobo manufacturer for any updated drivers.
And/or report your total system specs here, someone may
have the same mobo and may have the same components.

The VISTA install process will have most basic drivers, even RAID drivers,
you shouldn't need your motherboard CD. Run the Vista Advisor
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvista/getready/upgradeadvisor/default.mspx it
should tell you any issues where you MAY have to get a driver seperately to
have available after the install. On one of my installs, I didn't even need
the driver (it was installed during the Vista install/update) for an on board
LAN it said I should get & have available.

If the manufacturer of your M/B puts out Vista optimized drivers, use them.

Vista comes with drivers for most devices - but as with other versions of
Windows, these aren't the latest available.

Use what it installs for now, but you'll want to get the updated drivers
from the manufacturer's site as they become available. This will enable
features that are not otherwise available for the hardware when using the
Windows drivers.
