I have recently upgraded to Win XP Pro from Win 98SE. This was forced due to FAT problems on my 120Gb Fujitsu drive, stopping Windows from loading. I stabilised the system by loading XP onto a 30Gb drive and was able to access the 120Gb quite happily.
I then added the 6L250R0. This seemed to go remarkably easily using the Computer Management facility. However, when I transferred the data between the 120GB and the 250Gb the transfer rate was very slow even though the 250 is on IDE0 and the 120 is on IDE1. 4Gb took about 1hr to transfer.
I have also noticed that the drive never seems to sleep. Every 5-10 seconds it is being accessed. I'm not sure if this is all one problem or several ones all combining, but any help or information would be appreciated.
