Here's some methods used to overcome data3.cab errors.
1. Make sure the underside of the CD is clean and scratch free.
2. To see if it's a software conflict: Temporarily disable Startup
programs one at a time, ESPECIALLY ANTIVIRUS, and ad
blockers using:

3. Run a virus scan at:
http://housecall.antivirus.com Afterwards
Download & Run Spybot from:
http://security.kolla.de to find any
Trojans, Adware, or Spyware which could clog up your system.
4. Click My Computer / Rightclick the Drive & Choose Properties
/ Run the "Disk Cleanup..." / Next Click the "Tools" Tab and run
the "Error-Checking" and "Defragmentation" utilities.
5. In case your CD ROM is too fast, copy the CD to your hard
drive and then run the setup program from there. To copy the CD
go to My Computer, Right-Click the CD, Choose "Copy", then
Right-Click on your Hard Drive, Choose "Paste".
6. If you can't copy the CD's to your hard drive, adjust your DMA:

If your system is using IAA (Intel Application Accelerator), then
that ability will not be available while that software is installed.
You can verify if you have it installed via Control Panel / Add -
Remove programs, and uninstall it if necessary. Hope this helps!
