maximum number sheet printed using a printer with a single cartridge?

Hello World,

sorry for my uncorrect english

The question is

what is the average number of sheet printed with a good PC Printer and
a single toner cartridge?

My buddy use a hp deskjet 3745 and say "i can max print 200 sheet"..

Some one can give good and detaillated information

Almost impossible question to answer since each printer varies. I have a
Lexmark Optra S and each toner cartridge does about 20,000. It's been 2
years and 4 months since I last put one in. And it's used on a daily basis.

On the other hand, my Canon i950 goes through each cartridge about every 1
to 2 months. It has 6 different cartridges. It's used ONLY for photos.

Moral of the story is if you're printing black and white documents, get a
laser. If you're printing color photos, ensure you get a good bank manager
or credit card with high limit and pay it off regularly.
 
The hp DeskJet 3745 is an inkjet printer so 200 sheets per ink cartridge is
about right depending on the amount of printing on each page.

A LaserJet toner cartridge, again depending the printer, can yield around
2,000 pages.

Most are way past that. The LaserJet 4000 using a X cartridge can
go 15,000 copies. And the X cartridge for the 5000 goes 10,000 pages,
both with 5% coverage.

See http://www.hp.com/pageyield/us/en/ for information on recent HP
printers. For example, the DeskJet 6940 uses the #96 black cartridge and
delivers about 850 pages. The K550 large black cartridge delivers 2580
pages while the low end DeskJet 3910 is rated at 195 pages..

As noted, laser printers typically have much larger capacities, for example
the LaserJet 9000 yields 30000 pages while the low end LaserJet 1000 is
rated at 2500 pages.
