Maximum Number of Shared Printers

I was looking around for a article that may point to a possible maximum
number of shared printers on a Microsoft 2000 server. If anyone knows of some
kind of recomendation article etc. it would be a huge time-saver for me :-)

Trying to convince management that 800 shared printers for a huge
organization on one print server is more than borderline silly.

Here's a white paper from Microsoft:

"Windows Print Server Scalability and Sizing Technical Overview"

The article mentions that standalone (non-clustered) servers, running on
server-class hardware, hosting 1500 printers have been tested successfully,
but it also gives some of the criteria to consider for your specific
environment.
