We are running a peer to peer netowrk in our small
office. There are eight computers and three netowrk
prinyers hooked up to a router. We do not use a file
server per se, but have shared a folder on one PC that we
use to store common files. At some point in the day
after everyone arrives, we will get an error message that
says the maximum number of connections have been
exceeded. How many connections can Windows XP Pro and
Windows XP Home Edition handle?

TIA

Why not try Windows 2003 Server free for 180 days?

Hi -

XP Home can accept five concurrent connections, XP
Professional can accept ten.
