I have 2 SATA 250 GB Hard drive, unfortunately they are
both recognized as 127 GB. When I reformat them, they
are each only given the option to be reformatted as 127
GB.

How do I work around this?

I would like to change the maximum limit to 250 GB, as
this is the type of hardware that I own.

For Windows XP to recognize drives greater than 127GB:
1) BIOS must support 48-bit LBA,
2) The disk controller (either on the motherboard or separately) must
support 48-bit LBA
3) Service Pack 1 must be installed and lastly,
4) 48-bit LBA must be enabled in the registry.

Make sure you enable LBA mode for disks in BIOS.
