Maximize IE

This may seem insignificant, but I am wondering if there is a way to have IE
open maximized all the time. No matter what/how many pages are displayed. I
know the view is barely noticable, but I know I was able to do it under
Win98se? TIA
 
No, IE does not remember Maximized in IE6, no matter whether it is XP
or 98SE.

Try stretching the small window to full size. (Do not use Maximize)
Ensure that window is the last one closed and IE should remember the
size next time.

On my XP Home computer, selecting Properties for the IE shortcut, either
on the desktop, menu, or taskbar, and selecting the option to open the
window maximized does the trick.

I don't know if it is not meant to do it but trust me in SE IE 6 alwys
opened Maximized.
I already have the screen strecthed. I di dsay it seems like an
insignificant amt. Just seems
more to my liking.
 
Lu, My system is XP Pro. Your suggestion seemed to work only on the
shortcut in the Quickstart bar.
No other desktop shortcut gives me the same option. Thanks for that tip
though.

It doesn't on my Win98SE+IE6 and never has since IE5.0 came on the
scene.
The same applies to all other similar machines that I have heard of.
I have never seen any difference between a fully stretched window and
a maximized window but I concede there may be.

Try one of these if you really want a maximized window...
