Maximize and Minimize windows

How do I keep my windows at the maximize state, like when
i go into a site and what ever I click on it only opens a
little, I have to keep clicking the opper right hand
corner maximize button. How do I keep this at the
maximize all the time? Something happened a while ago I
hit a button but dont know what!!! Thanks!!!
 
When that happens, first, *close all other windows*. Now, grab the
corners of the window and drag it to full screen size. Close the
window using File>Close, or File>Exit depending what program you're
in. Windows will remember the last screen size used the next time you
open the program.

Drag window corners to screen corners. When you close it, hold down ctrl
and Shift keys together (at same time) while clicking on the X in
upper-right.
