An old friend (67) is having a problem...when he opens IE6 it opens in a
reduced size page (75%) and he is forever having to maximise the page to view
it properly. I thought that if you maximised the page on the screen and then
shut-down it would remember that and open in a "maximised" state the next
time it was started ? Can anyone help please ?

If your friend is starting it from a short-cut, then if you look at the
properties of the short-cut you should see a property called "Run" with a
drop-down box. This has the values "normal", "maximised" and "minimised".
Maximised should work.

Thanks for that...he will be starting it by using the Blue "E" on the
desktop, when I right click mine all I get is Properties which then gives me
the normal Internet Properties window

Try stretching the small window to full size. (Do not use Maximize)
Ensure that window is the last one closed and IE should remember the
size next time.
