Does anyone know whether there is still a limit on how much data can be
output per record on a report in Access 2003?

I have a table with a number of 255 CHAR fields. In a previous version of
Access (2000?), I discovered (the hard way) that there was a hard limit
beyond which Access reports simply dropped the field data with no warning.
(It resulted in much rage, annoyance and work-around coding. I'd rather not
go through it again...)

Many thanks!

As I recall, each record in Access has a limit around 2000 characters. If
you had 100 fields defined as 255 characters, but only had 2 characters in
each field, you would not trigger this limit. But if you had 4 fields
completely full, you'd be in trouble!

*sigh* That's what was afraid of. Oh well...

Thanks Jeff,
