I've just got Max Payne £0.99 + £1.25 postage :D and am running it with the patch and nocd . I've set some of the settings but wondered which is the best one to run with from these,

Filtering Mode ,

Bilinear or Trilinear or Anisotropic ???

Games running fine as I have it set . This looks really coooooooooooool , I'm going to have fun .

Looks like you have it almost maxed as it is. Ramp up the AF and set the filtering mode to Anisotropic if you can. If its still smooth then leave it. Use Fraps to measure your FPS as long as its above 30-35 you should be fine. :)

Frame rate is about 50 ish drops to 38 ish when fighting lots of guys , only tried it in the tutorial though . I was too tired so I had to stop .

Coooooooooooooool.

With Anisotropic enabled the frame rate drops by about 5fps but it still looks good .Thanks folks . I'm one happy shot to pieces guy . Now if only I could get to live a little lomnger .

Bilinear, Trilinear, Anistropic

It allows the user to change how many times the hardware smooths out the edges of graphics ie the side of a building where you may see jagged edges etc
Anything basically that maybe looked at from an angle will look smoother and seamless

Its all very gpu intensive but makes the on screen gfx look fantastic

Put that back then, 5fps is unplayable by a long way.

Lol @ Feckit. TD's answer is bang on. :)

Drops by 5fps so its still running at over 30fps to 55fps depending on the action .
I was educated by TD's explanation aswell .

Obviously a lot more to it than that. Not including all the other stuff cards do aswell but I try ;)

Ah, sorry i miss read that the first time. :o

Thats fine then, you will notice when the frame rate drops too low.

I think that's the whole point about lacking skills and not winning major tournaments. We are good at tackling and spoiling moves, as we could muscle somebody out, but when it comes to keeping the ball and using the ball skills to create a move we loose out easily.

Post Edited. You're history, spammer :) FBS
