I brought max payne 2 at the weekened because i am a huge fan and i think it is a great game. I have just completed it. Which has rely annoyed me bacause now i got to wait 2 years for the next one(i hope)

It is a great game once again and i do recomened it to everyone. Also it has a good ending song which is always good. I completed the first one in about 2 days which ment i played it non-stop but i love it. The same with the 2 one as well

So i say to all thosef ans of Max payne or fans of great games get it now.

Wow - that was quick :D

I've seen the teaser movie and the trailer, and it looks really good!

How did it run on your machine, was it very smooth?

The first Max Payne was pretty good but i didn't really like the whole thing about being in the nightmare it was kinda stuped.

I bought it on Sunday, been playing it on and off and I'm up to Chapter 2 so far.

I have to agree with darkangel - it's great :D

Ian, it runs very smoothly at high res on a medium specced system, I'm playing on my first rig listed in the 'My Stuff' link in my sig below, no problems at all. The slo-mo shooting action is really good, especially when he reloads his weapon.

Have ta say it runs a damn sight better than Halo and The Matrix. I had to load latest ATI Catalyst 3.8 drivers to run the Matrix full screen and Halo runs a little choppy when action is intense but Max Payne runs smooth as a, er, smooth as a, um, well, smooth, anyway :D Great game.

Oh, and once you've completed the game, there are further options for a replay opened up.

Bit behind the times here I know.

Just started Max Payne 2 and it is fab. Looks great on me 24" at 1900 x 1200 with everything turned up full. Me Dominatrix mouse is cool, put in all the weights and it is just right for me. Side buttons are slightly oddly placed especially the rear one. Set it up with two dpi's so it goes from 400 to 2000 to 400 to 2000. 2000 seems abit fast for me so I may drop to 1600. Funky lights which are not too over the top.The Cyber Snipa mat is funky with its light round the edges an you can adjust the light so it is not so bright, the mouse glides over it like a proffesional skater. Best is the Cyber Snipa game pad, the little flappy wrist rest is neat and the buttons are well placed, they should have put a F5 or several more F buttons on it though as there is room at the top for em an the crosshair led is a bit too bright.
Now I just need some clip on extensions to the arm rests on me chair and I'm seriously set up to blow away the bad guys.

:D

Oooops this should really be in the Gaming section. :D

Behind the times indeed! Ah, the sweet smell of a brand new 2002 game. :)

I played it through once back in the day, still have the original fold out cardboard sleeve 3-CD version.

Have often thought about loading it up again.

As I remember there was a real funny bit where the guy had a huge clowns head stuck on his head and the ending was very hard.

The ending on the first one was hard aswell. MP 2 seems to keep the atmosphere of the first but with better graphics. I like it. A good game to try out all me new gaming stuff. :D
