Hi all.
I just got the game and can not get it to run. When I click on the shortcut
or the exe. in the program all I get is the little hourglass for about half
a second. I am running the Windows .Net Enterprise Server Demo operating
system and have tried the XP. compatibility setting also have Dx9.0b.
The reason I am posting this here is because I just recently got the Radeon
9500 pro and have not had enough time to become familiar with it so am
wondering if any other Radeon users are having problem with the game.
Thank for your help.

Well running Winxp & Radeon 9700pro, no problems with Max Payne,
out of interest did you actually have MP2 running with a
different card before installing the Radeon?

Working great here with WinXP Pro and a Sapphire 9600 Pro.

I no longer have my old card ( Ti 4200 ) to check out if it works with it
but I may be able to borrow it back to check. I took the game back to the
store I got it from and it worked on one of their systems.
I think I remember reading that you can change Radeon cards without changing
the drivers, is this true because I have an old 8500 that I could check it
with and that would be quick and easy.
Thanks.

I would, simply because you mention you're trying the game using
the server O/S??? Never used it myself, so I have no idea of the
difference between it & Win2000/XP, but my guess would be a lack
of compatability, as a lot of normal XP people with Radeons are
having no problems.

Good call on the operating system Lithurge. This is the first program that
has given me a problem with .Net but I have my old XP. system backed up so I
decided to try installing it and Max Payne 2 runs great and looks even
better.
Thanks everyone for your help.
