Yahoo AntiSpy discovered MateWatcher on my computer last night. Windows
Defender did not find in a scan immediately prior. (BTW-It takes about 12
minutes for YAS to remove the logger. I stopped it too early a couple of
times.) Before discovering MateWatcher I noticed that when I would send one
email, Outlook would send 2 or more. But nothing shows up in the sent items.
I suspect this was MateWatcher relaying info.

Hi Dave

Do you know who installed it ?

I suspect it was sending transcritps to
someone which planted it..............

It´s criminal to plant such a program within
a PC without the owners knowledge.

But with all of these keyloggers this will end up in a catastroph
when it´s legitimate for some usergroups and so easy to get them
from example Download.com and use them without the owners knowlegde.

Hi

This might be something for you to
talk with your local police about more advices.

It is a criminal act to plant keyloggers ............

You really also need to consider changing all passwords for any
confidential sites you use (banking, ebay, paypal) , email , messenger
programs etc. If you have done any banking online recently or payed for
services using credit card info you also should consider contacting the
bank and explain that you have just noticed a keylogger on the pc, this
way they can monitor your account for any changes without your consent.

Best luck !

Hi

Maybe....

"MateWatcher is a commercial keylogger and generally Spybot does not
target commercial keyloggers. Perhaps they will reconsider since
MateWatcher appears to be stealthfully installed via an email
attachment."

Install a keylogger with an mail attachment........ ;)

Maybe it´s time to clean up within this junkyard with keyloggers.
