Matching Upgrade CD to Computer

Hello,

I've installed 5 or 6 windows 2000 upgrades, having purchased an upgrade CD
for each. I did not keep track of which CD went with which computer, and
now I'd like to replace the hard disk and reinstall the OS in one of those
machines. Here are my questions:

(1) Does it matter if I use the same CD I originally used to upgrade that
PC? I don't want any online registration processes to make Microsoft think
that I'm trying to pirate the software.

(2) Regardless of the answer to #1, is there a way to match the registration
code in system properties to the keycode on the CD, or any other way to tell
which CD I used to upgrade a given PC?

Thanks very much,

1.) No. As long as you have a license for each install it doesn't matter.
2.) Give this a go.
