Matching the cpu to the motherboard

I've got a Sempron with a FSB of 333. The motherboard I have has jumper
options of 100 or 133. Can I use this cpu with this mobo? or will one of
them blow?

Thanks.

I believe you can without anything blowing but you won't get the full
efficiency of the cpu running it at 266 fsb instead of its full capacity.
Core voltages should be the same, but that's worth checking as well.

No.

Your motherboard from what you have said only supports 200 and 266 FSB which
would be early Athlons and Durons. Your CPU is 333. Assuming your Sempron is
socket A it would likely fit in the motherboard physically but I am not sure
what would happen if you tried to run it. Best case and I doubt this would
work is that it would run but with a serious performance hit as it would be
underclocked. Worst case it would burn up one or the other.

It won't "burn up" or blow anything but it would run
underclocked at 266 (the "133" setting in DDR terms) rather
than 333. That is, IF your board bios doesn't halt the
system when it can't ID the CPU.
