Master slide question

I have a powerpoint template and I want to cover up a portion of the master
slide. The graphics on the master slide are grouped and was done in another
program. I want to put a rectangle to cover up just a small part. I draw a
rectange over the part I want to cover it's a white background and I make the
rectangle white witih no line but when you print a slide the rectangle, the
rectangle show an outline of the rectangle. Is there a way to prevent the
lines on the rectangle from showing when printed.

I've not tried Rae's solution, but I might have to, because that sounds too
interesting not to!

The way I do it is (assuming you're printing in black and white) go to View
| Black and White, then right-click the rectangle, choose B/W Settings, and
set it to "white." You may need to do the same in View | Grayscale, too.

If the shape has both a fill and text, then I use two objects -- a filled
rectangle and a non-filled textbox. That lets me set the B/W settings of the
rectangle to "white," while leaving the textbox set to "black with white
fill" -- but since it doesn't have a fill, I don't get lines.
