I have found that "Sometimes", not all the time, when you change
formatting in a textbox in the master slide thus exit the Master slide these
"text format changes" like to apply themselves to some DIFFERENT not all
textboxes in EVERY other slide that the slide master belongs to. Again
that's, format changes of a textbox IN the slide master will, when saved,
apply change to textboxes outside of the slide master that are not
associated with the original change.

This really becomes a problem when you have 150 slide presentation and you
need to consistently make changes to the master slide, but if you do your
going to have to reformat the text on all 150 slides because it decided to
carry over the format changes to DIFFERENT textboxes at random.

I have not quite figured this whole thing out but I would love to get this
to stop.

Has anyone had similar problems?

Couple of questions for you...

1. What version of PPT? Any service packs applied?

2. What kind of changes are you making to your master text placeholder?
And what kind of changes are happening elsewhere in the presentation
after making those changes?

3. When you say that the formatting changes you make on the master are
applied to textboxes not associated with that change, what kind of
textboxes are those which are changing? Are they placeholders, or are
they manual textboxes?
