Master of my domain?

Giant's and Microsoft's Antispyware Beta1 had a rich user interface, with
options where I can control my machine and destiny.

Under it's "System Explorer" I can review what has been installed, and block
items I do not like. I can check and restore IE settings and BHOs. I can
check ActiveX programs and disable those I don't like.

Under the Real Time options, I can set script blocking options, activate or
disable other features.

I cannot find the controls in Defender for this level of personal management
and control of my resources.

Am I missing something, or has this stuff been removed?

Well, I see their point for the BHOs and such, but two things:

(1) I wish they would wait until IE7 is released. I can't get IE7 Beta to
install on my machine, so I'm feeling cut off.

(2) This does not resolve the issues with catching and monitoring windows
explorer addins, startup programs, and all of the other areas.

I guess I'll have to use the antispyware Beta 1 with more options until it
no longer works. Then I'll find some other way to be the master of my
domain.

Startup programs and network-active programs should be better covered by the
tools in Windows Defender. I'm sure folks here will suggest favorite tools
to deal with the gaps as the end of life of Microsoft Antispyware draws
closer.
