Hello Everyone,
This is a fresh Install of XP Pro on a Maxtor 8Gb drive
as C:. It is working fine so I installed the main
harddrive (Maxtor 20gb) as D: so that I could Ghost C:
over (and then remove the 8gb) but D: is not completely
recognized in XP. I can see it listed in Device Manager,
but it shows up as location 0 (0) which is the same as
my C: drive....????

I can boot from the 20gb drive into win98se and
everything is fine and the drive scandisks' perfect!
Booting from a floppy into DOS has the same results - C:
and D: are fine and scandisk perfect.

The motherbd is an Nforce chipset K7N420 Pro by MSI,
with an AthlonXP 2200+ , pushing 512Mb of crucial ram.
Everything else (video, lan,&sound) is built into the
chipset.

Any HELP is GREATLY appreciated !!!!

Ok, so far I have completely repartioned and formatted
the 20Gb drive. WinXP still does not see it except as
previously stated. So that eliminates any possiblility of
it being a software issue cause by something on it from
win98.
I still need some help here people....

Ideas anyone ??
