Master drive to Slave and back again...

I bought a 120G Seagate Barrcuda about a year ago and installed Windows
2000 on it with no problems. I then purchased a new computer about 6
months ago and installed the old drive as a slave with no problems.
Left everything intact, just selected the jumper and popped it right
in.

Now, I want to install this drive in an older computer. It's got a
233mhz Pentium 2, and as far as I know has no problems. Windows starts
up, and when the loading bar is finished, the computer reboots. The
jumper is set to master, and I can't even boot in safe mode, the
computer still resets itself. Also, I can't find my 2000 disk, but I
do have a windows XP disk that has been installed to a seperate
computer, if that's of any use.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,
Erik

Random reboots can be caused by insufficient power. The new hard drive
may be drawing more juice than is appropriate for an old power supply.

It's much more likely that, as Cari stated, he needs to perform a repair
install due to the hardware changes from the first PC the OS was running on
to the one he's now trying to get it to run on.
