in a domain that is Windows 2000 native. We have most of our client
machines running Windows XP with a few exceptions running Windows 2000.
Everything is runnin well except there seems to be some issue with DHCP
as in regards to what appears to be the Windows 2000 client machines
trying to be the master browser.
Not sure if this is a common issue but would love to solve it if I can.

The explanation of your problem is something less than clear. Browsing has
nothing to do with DHCP and neither one should impact the other. Can you
provide more detail on what your problem is, what you're seeing, and perhaps
entries from the event logs of the computer(s) that are having problems?
