Before I blow up my new production Windows Server 2003 64-bit server install
with MAS, is it okay to install and run?

THX!

Thanks. Of course I am!! ;-))

While this will be the first 64-bit server, MAS has been running on about 10
higly important prod WS2k3 32-bit and W2K servers since MS released MAS.
Not a single problem - yet.

It is beta, which means it is still being tested. Do you
want to rely on a beta product as your sole line of defense?

It is not likely to "blow up" your server, just remember the
word beta.

We've had one report that the Windows Genuine Validation tool wouldn't work
right on a 64 bit machine.

I'm skeptical about this report--I've downloaded Microsoft Antispyware on
several 64 bit machines, but running 32 bit XP. I've got a 64 bit XP
install, but alas, no drivers for the only available wireless nic on the
box.

So--if you'll tell us whether it passes WGA, I'd be glad to say "sure, go
ahead" on your install!
