Don

When I attempt to visit a broken link, my browser
defaults to this annoying www.marsfind.com list of
subject areas. I'd just prefer to get the old "page not
found" message. Anyone else been visited by this
annoying change? Does anyone know how to reset to the
default?

Hi Don,

First, scan the system for parasites and remove them. SpyBot S&D searches
your harddisk for Spyware and Adware
http://security.kolla.de/

&

Adaware (similar)
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/
(Remember to perform a Webupdate to have the latest definitions installed)

This will remove malware from the PC. Next, reset the Search Engine. Click
the Search button in the toolbar > Customize > AutoSearch Settings > Select
a provider from the list.
Open Internet Explorer > Tools > Options > Programs > "Reset Web Settings"

Download the fix - Reset Search:

Thanks for the tip. I rambled around last night and
found another referral to SpyBot and it worked great. Do
you know if it will perform that 10 minute scan everytime
you log on or is there a setting to only run it once in a
while?

Running it twice a week manually would be good.
