I would like to create a marquee into my PowerPoint 2003 presentation. I
want the text to marquee during a slide, not after I click. Is there any way
I can do this?
I have tried:
1. Doing it directly in PP by creating a text box, and doing custom
animation, and picking a motion path. It just moved to the left, +
stopped.(and it did it after I clicked)

2. Creating a marquee in FrontPage and adding an HTML document to PP. PP
won't accept HTML.

Please help. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I am not certain this is what you are looking to accomplish, but here is one
way to create a marquee:
1. Create text box, group of images, etc in PPT
2. Position OFF the left side of the slide, at the height it is to scroll
across at
3. Add a FLY FROM RIGHT animation
4. To have animate automatically, make it the first animation on the slide
and set it to WITH PREVIOUS
5. Set the timing to VERY SLOW (you can go into the setting to make it even
slower if desired)
6. Optional, you can go into the settings and make it repeat until end of
slide
7. Optional, add a semi-transparent (80-90%) box across the slide where the
marquee scrolls across (make sure the marquee text box is on top)

Hope that is helpful.

If I understand the question correctly you can do this in XP(2002) and 2003
as follows:
Create text box to hold your continuously scrolling text message and place
off the left of the slide. If you want it throughout the presentation or
throughout a section of the presentation then place it on the appropriate
master.
Animate it with crawl from right and very slow or even slower to taste.
Make sure it is the first item to animate on the slide or master
Set timing to repeat till end of slide.
Voilá!
PS
If you haven't got XP yet, upgrade. You'll be pleased you did.
