Hi All,
I'm looking to buy a UPS solution for a small business web server
machine and an SQL Server machine.
I've been surfing the usual online stores to get an idea of 'what's
out there', and came across a significant price difference between 2
products that I can't quite understand.
The first is the CyberPower 1500AVR, which (at the time of writing) is
retailing at Best Buy for $249.99.

The second is the Belkin Regulator Pro 1000VA NetUPS Battery Backup,
which (at the time of writing) is retailing at Best Buy for $449.99.

I don't know a great deal about UPS solutions, but the
almost-half-the-price CyberPower unit seems to have a much better spec
than the almost-twice-the-price Belkin unit.
I'm wondering if someone with better practical knowledge of UPS
systems can give me an idea why the Belkin unit (6 minutes full load
backup) would be a better buy than the CyberPower unit (65 minutes
full load backup). Is it just a matter of brand name?
At the price, I'm currently tempted to buy two of the CyberPower
units, one for each of my servers.
Any help appreciated!
Much warmth,
Murray
