Maps in Mapquest do not appear

Since Mapquest recently updated its site, when I ask for directions the map
does not load up. I had no problem before the update. I use Windows XP and IE
v.6. Please, does anyone have any suggestions?

The problem is more likely with mapquest than your browser. I quit using
them some time ago. Try: http://maps.yahoo.com/ Faster loading, better maps,
less code bloat and no inane check box for "Don't show this window again".

Note to webmasters reading this post: Do your visitors a favor and delete
anything from your site that could possibly require an answer to the
aforementioned inane question.

I am having the same problem and still have not found a solution. I'm
running Norton AntiVirus and have Spybot installed as well. But not sure if
these are the casue fot he problem which developed when MapQuest did their
update.

So has anyone out there solved this problem and can you share a step by step
solution for us technically challenged? Thanks in advance.

Same issue here with XP & IE6. I am seeing a couple of ad cookies being
blocked and would not allow them. I wonder if that could be the issue or the
MS updates this week?

Mapquest is working fine with IE7 and all the latest MS updates.

Seems to be working now as it did not earlier this morning. Also noticed one
cookie blocked instead of two earlier. Maybe that was the problem?
 
Problem resolved. I use Norton Antivirus and IE 6. When Mapquest changed
their site to add arial shots, I could no longer view maps.

Today I discovered that turning off "Privacy Control' under Norton Internet
Security, I can once again view Mapquest maps. Not sure what setting in
Norton's Privacy Control is causing the problem but at least I'm now able to
use this tool. Thanks to everyone for their ideas.
