I am having difficulty with putting a mappoint map into powerpoint without it
getting distorted. When I print from mappoint it is beautiful but then when i
put it into powerpoint it comes out wrong. What can i do?

Are you saving an image from MapPoint or what?

How are you inserting <whatever> into PPT?

Which version of PPT?

Yes, it is a mappoint image. trying to insert it into powerpoint (ppt) 2003.
when we insert it it gets distorted. the font changes and everything is too
pixelated.

Again, how are you inserting it?

Also, what kind of image is it? JPG, PNG, WMF or EMF?

we have tried copying and pasting, then using the 'Copy Map' button. also
have tried to use the print screen option. also have brought up the map in
powerpoint with the map button and it still gets distorted. I dont know what
kind of image it is, it comes directly out of mappoint.

Wow. You've tried about everything, it seems! Thanks for the info, though --
it does give me some ideas.

I would try using Print Screen or even just Copy Map and then in PPT,
Edit|Paste Special and choose an image type to paste. I'd probably use PNG.
EMF might be okay, but I'm not sure what will happen to the fonts if you use
"copy map" and paste as EMF.

When you're inserting, don't click in any placeholders on the slides, and
also make sure you've gone to Tools|Autocorrect, and deselect "automatic
layout for inserted objects."
