Mapping Network Drives

I'm attempting to map a network drive with a username, and
a set of computers (8 total) to the same drive on another
computer. The problem I'm running into is when I attempt
to login 5 or 6 simultaneously, I get an error saying that
all available connections are in use (when there are only
6 plus the local one connecting to this one computer).
All computers are windows 2000, any ideas? I'm thinking
that it may possibly use 2 connections, one to connect the
drive and the 2nd for the username. Thanks

Hi,

A Windows 2000 Pro/XP machine can only sustain 10 concurrent network
connections. More than likely one of the machines has a couple of documents
open or something which is consuming the remainder of your connection limit.
You may need to upgrade to a server OS to overcome this.
