I was able to map the network drive through the TOOLS menu
in Windows Explorer, or through right click on "My
Computer" until my co-worker implemented "Network Address
Translation". Now, I cannot map the network drive as above
(through the GUI) anymore. I got the error below:
"The mapped network drive could not be created because the
following error has occurred:
There are currently no logon servers available to service
the logon request."
However, I am able to map the network drive using the "net
use" command.
Does anyone know what's the difference(s) between mapping
network using the "net use" command" and through the GUI?
Why does it work with the command, but doesn't work with
the GUI?
I'm positive that the Network Address Translation is the
culprit, but I don't understand why/how. Thanks in advance.
