Is there a way to map to network drives (using DFS)
without actually having to map to a specific letter? We
are trying to avoid that letter stuff and would like to
open My Computer and see the names of the shares.

any help would be appreciated.

thanks, a. j.

My Network Places.....what's this tell me? not much at
all. Yes I know I can browse to the folder via MY
NETWORK PLACES. That's my question in itself, but I'm
looking for answer.

With in My Network places you can browser to the shared
folder you wish to map with out drive letters, and then
create a shortcut to that folder. Not sure this is how
you do what you want, but it is the only way i have been
able to do it
