Mapping Drive - VPN?

My previous post has been grayed out. Have I done
anything wrong? Please tell me so I won't break any rule
here:

I. Background:

I've connected a VPN between (1) a desktop behind a
router with DSL and (2) a laptop with a client software
with a dial-up successfully: Both computers have Windows
XP Pro

So far I could log on to the remote desktop from the
laptop to (1) use an application opening a file on the
same desktop as well as (1) copy/paste files between two
computers in My Computer:

II. A Need:

Now I am trying to open a file in the desktop with an
application in the client laptop.
Someone suggests that I need to map a network drive in
Windows Explorer: I used \\192.168.0.2
\Documents_and_Settings\All_Users\Shared_Documents, but
keep getting the same error message:

"The mapped network drive could not be created because
the following error has occured: The specified server
cannot perform the requested operation."

Please help me out. Thanks.

If you have admin priveleges, it would possibly be easier to just
connect to the global admin share and then browse to the appropriate
folder (i.e., \\192.168.0.2\c$)

Not necessarily... There is a rule about when administrative shares
are created and I don't remember (or can't find) if they are created
after you turn off Simple File Sharing...

You can just create an administrative drive share, though...
