We need to map data from states and counties. Basically market share
data by county for some data we have in access. We have tried MS
Mappoint and can't seem to get it to do what we want.

We'd like to show a map of the counties with total sales listed in
each county on the map. Maybe different coloring or some other method
to show sizes of markets.

I can't seem to get mappoint to show the data values on the map and I
can't seem to dynamically call mappoint to create the maps
programattically from access.

Anyone out there know of any other methods or other software that will
do this for us.

Thanks,
Brad

It seems to me the Mappoint application would have to pull the data from
Access. I suggest you direct your question to Mappoint and see if they or
maybe a third party has a way for Mappoint to import Access data.

I would think Mappoint integration is possible. You could create a KML file
and have it open in Google Earth.

Also, I'm guessing there are lots of other mapping programs as well.

I assume you have longitude and latitude data?

Sorry I didn't provide any specifics,

PS: I would love to take on a Google Earth project (if you have any interest
in hiring anyone).
I have some code to create KML files and have an application that creates a
KML file and opens Google Earth to view the points but haven't done much
more than that. Shoot me an email if you just want to steal some kml code
as well and do it yourself.
