Hello. I have a W2K3 domain at home using a private IP range (10.x.x.x).
I am helping a friend by hosting a W2K server for him on my network. The
server has a static IP assigned to it, but it is not part of the domain.
What I would like to be able to do is map a drive from my friend's W2K
workstation, which is in his home and connects to the internet via cable
modem, to a share on his server that I am hosting. I have cable access
connected through a Linksys router which gets a dynamic IP from the
cable company. I can redirect Remote desktop traffic, without a problem,
but I can't figure out how to direct a request for a mapped share.
I am also running IIS 6.0 on a web server in my domain. I have my own
internet domain, and I use TZO for name resolution. All port 80 traffic
resolving to my site goes to my own web server, so I can't direct port
80 traffic to the non-domain server. Any help is appreciated.
TIA,
