I have several dozen computers where I work. They all get drives mapped at
login via the profile setup in AD. This works fine on all but about 3
computers. These mapped drives show permanently as disconnected. If you
open the "disconnected" mapped drive it shows the contents and everything is
accessible but the drive still reads as disconnected at the top of the screen.
Net use doesn't show the letters as in use, and you can't net use to add or
remove drives with those same letters.
Trying to use the menu to disconnect the drives doesn't work. The only way
to remove the drives is to boot the computer off the network and then manualy
remove them. The next reboot the mapped drives are shown correctly, until
the user logs out or reboots the computer.
Its not a time out problem, as its only on the same computers, and the
drives don't change to active at anytime.
Any ideas?
