Mapisp32 Error in Outlook 97

I was sending email yesterday and received the following
message: "Mapisp32 This program has performed an illegal
operation and will be shut down..." And then the
following message: "The messaging interface has returned
an unknown error. If the problem persists, start OUtlook
again". I have restarted my computer and Outlook and
still have not been able to fix the problem.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Yes. Go to Microsoft's support site and enter "mapisp32" and the search
string. Read the many results.
 
If you find how to correct this, I would greatly appreciate it if you would post what you did to coorect this problem. I to have had this problem for a month. Have exhausted all my resources and have had no responses to any posting asking for suggestions
